Default I want more Spider-Man comics by Roger Stern

Hello people. Does anyone know what Rocking Roger Stern is up to these days. As far as I know, he isn't working on anything regularly.
The reason I ask, is that I was reading some old ASM back issues the other day, and felt saddened all over again at the close of #251. (Yes, I know #250 was the last issue he wrote alone, but his fingerprints are all over #251 as well) I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if Marvel threw Rog a bone. Like, offer him a brand new Amazing Spider-Man title. One that starts right at the close of his run. Meaning he could take the characters anywhere he wanted to go with them. I mean, the whole 'one more day' and 'brand new day' and Superior Octavius Spider-Man has killed any kind of continuity anyways. This could even be in some alternate Marvel timeline.
It wouldn't have to be monthly either. If Roger wouldn't want that kind of commitment, it could be bi-monthly or even quarterly. They could get John Romita Jr. And Klaus Jansen doing the artwork.
I guess I was just interested in knowing if anyone else would jump all over this very hypothetical idea.
If there are as many people that love this guy's take on Spider-Man as much as I do, this series would be a major sales jackpot for Marvel/Disney.

Roger Stern's Amazing Spider-Man was my favorite Spider-Man run ever, so I'd be all over anything Spider-Man that Marvel would give him. (Or Avengers, he had a really great run on that title as well!) I hope Marvel is keeping him in mind for future projects, and that Roger Stern is doing well.

He did one issue for the anniversary last year, Peter Parker Spider-Man 33, something. It was a good stand alone issue. I doubt Marvel will give him more Spidey work, though, which would be a shame if they didn't.

Marvel COULD allow Roger Stern to do Marvel Tales: The Hidden Years of Spider-Man. This could allow him to write the types of Spider-Man stories that he never had the chance to work on like Spider-Man x Black Cat which was originally supposed to be an on again off again relationship when she pops in and out of his life. However, it would be cool if he could add the Black Widow and Spider-Woman into the mix as well because he could create some good adventures between them and Spider-Man/Peter Parker. This would make for a good flashback series of adventures that was never told before. And I feel that Roger Stern is the right man for the job because his Spider-Man will not conflict with Dan Slott's Spider-Man since those stories would be set in the past, like the 1980's Marvel Universe.

This is exactly the kind of great stuff I'm talking about.
Felicia Hardy was a big part of the story he wrote for Peter Parker.
It's great to read other people's amazing ideas.
I just love Roger Stern. He is the best Spider writer of all time, in my opinion.

I'd definitely buy an Untold Tales book by Stern. I wouldn't buy a story about Peter trapped in hell, though.

I remember he recently wrote the miniseries: Captain America Corps. But he probably has done more since then.
He has an account on these forums and sometimes answers questions.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!

I would love to see that; Kurt Busiek's "Untold Tales of Spider-Man" was a very similar concept and I loved that title as well. Having said that, I don't see it happening, sadly.

Changed the title as Roger Stern is a bit generic.

During the Brand New Day era, I didn't see the point to Stern penned untold tales, as the status quo was similar in his era and the then-current era. But things are different enough post-Big Time and especially post-Superior Spider-Man. I think the main problem is that Untold tales just don't sell, although I wouldn't be surprised if Stern were involved in some of the inevitable Spider-Man product to coincide with Amazing Spider-Man 2.

    Hi Thomas,
I think that the main reason why Untold Tales didn't sell was because the book's focus was on the 1960's Steve Ditko era. I think if the book had focus on new stories between Peter's college years up to the start of his graduate program, it might have been well received. But the focus could have been to feature villains who were never a part of his world in the original publication. Imagine if the Black Widow was keeping tabs on Spider-Man since her introduction in Tales of Suspense to working with Jessica Drew(Private Detective) on one of her cases when she lost her powers for example? The Untold Tales of Spider-Man could have worked if the editor in charge at that time was working with the writers of coming up with the idea of using villains(and at least a few allies) from other parts of the Marvel Universe into the stories instead of just limiting those who made an appearance in his world.

Yeah,i want to see more Marvel comics written by Roger Stern as well.
The few stories he wrote during BND in ASM were great, and the Peter Parker Spiderman 156.1 is to me the best comic book celebrating Spidey 50th aniversary.
    Pull List:Uncanny Avengers,Avengers,Superior Spider-Man,Daredevil,All New X-Men,Hawkeye,Captain America,Thor:God of Thunder,Swamp Thing,Morbius,Thunderbolts,Iron Man,Fatale.

More Roger Stern Spider-Man would be wonderful, I greatly enjoyed all three of the stories he did since BND. Big fan of his runs on ASM & SSM in the 80s as well, just a nice handle on the character and his world that is always refreshing to read.

Everyone wants more Stern, but no one except me liked "Something Can Stop the Juggernaut." Go figure.

I liked "Something Can Stop the Juggernaut" and most everything else Roger Stern has written. If he writes more Spider-Man I will fork over my cash.
