    Default Winter Soldier #16 *Preview*

CBR has a look at the next issue of Latour's and Klein's Winter Soldier.

First, I'm really liking Shavley's covers for this book. If Marvel lets this ride past this arc, I'd love to see him get a few issues.

Second, I really wish Marvel had been willing to give this book a brand new #1.

Third, I really like Klein's approach to opening credits. It almost makes me wish Marvel was considering a Winter Soldier TV series.

Fourth, I love that they changed the fontface to indicate that Bucky's speaking in Russian. It's a nice touch that's easy to overlook. Kudos to Joe Caramanga.

Whereas I dropped Bru's take after the first issue, I'm really warming up to this latest arc. It'll be a pretty crummy if it's the closing arc on the book, but at least it feels like it will go out on a high note. Also, I think it's pretty apparent who the Electric Ghost is.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

I have to agree with many of your points Brother_Unit, this team is surprising me in all kinds of good ways. I have a theory about the electric ghost too, but for me it is too early to tell. While I miss Guice and Lark's art, Klein's almost sketchy style really works for the book. I may have to pick this up digitally too.

Like you, I hope this is not the last arc. I am glad I gave this a try....

Best Marvel book after Hawkguy IMO.
Top 10: Hawkguy, GIJoe Cobra, The Massive, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, Fury MAX, The Black Beetle, Batman, Winter Soldier, Suicide Squad, and The Activity.

    Great book. Better than Brubaker.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman! But yeah, I finally got caught up on this book. Bru's run was great IMO (perhaps with exception to the ending) and I was considering dropping. However, the new guys have this one moving in a well-paced and interesting direction. I sincerely hope Winter Soldier deservedly gets more readers.
