I do love me some BOOM!, mostly their horror related titles (Cthulhu series,Hellraiser, Fanboys vs Zombies) However, I would like to see them come up with a good superhero book.
What happened to Starborn? The Traveler? Soldier Zero?
Image: Chew, Invincible, Skullkickers, Invincible Universe, Revival
IDW: TMNT, MTMTE, G.I. Joe
Dynamite: Pathfinder
Red 5: Atomic Robo
Marvel: Thor: GoT, JIM, Powers, Scarlet Spider
I miss the Starborn/Traveler/Soldier Zero too. They really should have been mini-series first, then maxi ones.
About the new titles, I think that I will do Deathmatch and the most waited, Suicide Risk!
I hope that for the second part of 2013, they will release new Valen The Outcast and Elric mini-series. I am really fond of these two series!!
2000 AD of course!!!All Hail The Mighty Tharg
Latest Previews brought to my attention that Hypernaturals will end with issue 12. Which is a major blow for me. Nothing else really has my attention.
Notable New Comics Shipping the Week of 09-12-12
2000 AD 1796. LEGION LOST 0. MANHATTAN PROJECTS 6. PUNK ROCK JESUS 3. THE SHADE 12.
I thought they had said they had all been planned as 12-issue series to make 1 big event?
Regardless, I'm looking for any excuse now to get some more BOOM! titles. I used to really like them a couple years back, but they haven't really done much to get my attention recently except Higher Earth (which is now cancelled, afaik), and maybe the PotA minis. So...
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.
Grant Morrison
Awww man, Hypernaturals is one of my top 5 books every month. I love that comic. So much story they can tell with that setup, I dont see a conclusion by the 12th issue.
Eh, I really got into BOOM when they launched the Stan Lee heroes a while back and felt that those books had some life to them, but unfortunately nobody else did and they cancelled the line within the year. I also really liked Extermination and felt that Hypernaturals was pretty cool, but I just couldn't afford to keep buying them with all the Valiant and Dynamite I purchase on a monthly basis. Also, now that Mark Waid is gone I don't think the company has been nearly as innovative as it has been, so my interest is basically zero anymore.
Can't wait for Suicide Risk !
