For all the praise he gets, Hickman's shtick has never been more one-note than since he started his Avengers stuff.

This looks pretty good, Hickman is great at seeding interesting plot details, and unlike many others can actually pull them together.
I may just have to start reading this title.

This makes me want to track down the old New Universe comics. Knowing Hickman, he's probably going to be meticulously utilizing them and I bet this will read even better with a bit more knowledge of the characters.
