CBR spoke to incoming writer Michael Alan Nelson about his plans for DC Comics' "Supergirl," her Kryptonian outlook on life and what creative changes he aims to make on the book.

I do wish she would go back to dating Brianiac 5 or perhaps someone like Siobhan's brother

Is Michael Alan Nelson related to Diane Nelson?
I believe all that needs to be said has been. So here’s my two cents.”-- ScottMC, inadvertently summing up the Internet.

It's great that the new Super-fam writers are realizing that the teenaged characters are allowed to have and be fun.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

That might be a valid point if teens were actually the ones buying this title.

Oh, man. I just recently cut my purchases of new books down to about 7 titles, none of which are DC. But if anybody has had a chance to read his DINGO miniseries (which I fortunately found in the 50 cent bin), you know that Michael Alan Nelson is REALLY GOOD. Edgy, funny. I am really curious to see how he does with superhero stuff - had no idea he was writing Ravagers. I may have to pick that up.

Any word on where Johnson's going? And what about Green? He just quietly slipped out a few issues back, no announcements...

I think Johnson said in an interview a while back that Green left the book because he was falling behind on his other work (I think he's working on a TV show). I don't know when or if he'll be back, though. I do hope Johnson gets something, at least. Don't we still have like, three unannounced new books for June? Maybe he'll be on one of those.
    Current favorites:

    DC: Smallville, Supergirl, Detective Comics
Marvel: Ultimate X-Men, Scarlet Spider, X-Factor, Thor
Other: Saga, Angel & Faith, Buffy

One of the few DC books I am still reading. Glad to hear Asrar is sticking around. Sounds like I might be too.

It'll be interesting to see if they can manage to get from "I was nearly duped into destroying the solar system" to "happyfuntime"...
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
