Yes, and it's just as wrong.

Technically nope, it's not really 'downloading' the file... it's like watching a video on a secret youtube like site :) but legally, it could be but it could be under some loophole or something.
I personally prefer buying stuff I like- I have zero problem with streaming stuff I'l only watch once or to catch up with a TV show. Or see if I like something.. ect..

Yeah, it is.
Anybody with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video On Demand has access to more great stuff than they have time to watch. If somebody is going to make something that I think is worth my time, I'd like them to get paid for it. And until it's offered digitally legally, I've got plenty of other stuff to watch.

Ignoring the change in subject to the morality of stealing IP, streaming is pirating. If you think pirating's awesome, fine. Let's just not pretend minute technicalities make something it's not.

Musicians got screwed badly by piracy, but at least they could make some money from live performances. The people making movies and television shows don't have that option. They are often spending large sums of money to create their shows, and most people aren't going to be happy about seeing a live stage performance of their favorite action movie franchise. I am completely in favor of any reasonable measures taken to shut down piracy, and even some unreasonable measures. To hell with the downloaders, they are parasites. They don't produce anything worthwhile themselves, they only take what they want without regard for the hard work by creative people they are screwing.
