wow, b&r 18 sounds really interesting. no text? just pure art, showing not telling? count me in.
Yeah, and you just know that Gleason is going to kill it.
As upset as I am about the Batman & Robin Dynamic Duo (as we know it) will be ending soon, my real, true dynamic duo is Tomasi & Gleason. Morrison and Snyder have been doing the big event things, but Tomasi and Gleason's Batman & Robin, has been my main Bat-book, from day one. And just like Tomasi said, it's that interplay between Bruce, Damian, and Alfred that really, truly made the book. I'm sad that part of that trinity is gone, but as long as T & G are there, then I'll be there.

This is a TERRIBLE idea, my favorite ongoing right now is B&R simply because of the dynamics between Bruce and Damian ...I may have to cut it from my pull-list now. Sad news. There's a few people at my local comic shop that are in the same boat. Whoever let this idea through needs to be beaten with a stick.
Batman and Robin 18 being silent is a fantastic idea.
I will say I'm SO NOT READY for the inevitable scene of Titus looking for Damian, and never finding him. God damn it, that's going to be sad.

I'm glad Tim is getting a chance to shine outside of the Turd Titans. That'll soften the blow quite a bit.
Recommended Comics:
Star Wars: Dark Times,
Richard Stark's Parker by Darwyn Cooke,
Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye
Why would the dog be killed?
OH GOD. And Alfred being sad too. Man. I'm not going to be able to handle this issue.

A silent issue of Batman and Robin #18 is an awesome idea.
But a subsequent Batman and Red Robin? Is Tim Drake now the designated back-up-Robin-when-your-last-sidekick-died?
Personally, I will stay away from Batman and Robin starting issue #19 until Tomasi decides to bring Damian back.
I have really liked Damien as Robin, the only good thing is seeing Tim Drake back with Bruce and the interaction with Jason should be interesting as well.
On one hand: Tim Drake being written by Peter J. Tomasi. Hallelujah.
On the other hand: My soul is trying to escape my body due to depression.![]()
I don't read Batman and Robin. Hell, I don't read DC for the most part. I don't really like how DC just spoiled it, or how its happening in Batman Inc, which from what I've seen is one of those, "Oh, that book exists too" titles.
Like I said, Bat titles are just outside my pull list so I don't read this book, but I can see how somebody who did would be upset about this. Not saying that a creator is not allowed to kill of a character that he created, or that DC isn't allowed to kill a character that they own, but I don't like how it was handled.
As a side note, does this mean that Damien's whole purpose was to be killed and add to Batman's tragic story? That seems really cheap, not to mention stupid because people will buy Batman regardless what you do to a character, yet they kill off what truly seemed like an interesting character in order to add something that really isn't going to change Batman in the long run.
