Plan to get Masks #4, and I might give Lone Ranger #13 a shot since it's suppose to be a single issue story.

Is Warlord of Mars part of the John Carter franchise?

Is it consistent with the books and the movie?

    How many more issues?

Yeah, Warlord of Mars is a comic that adapts/modernizes in a faithful manner the original John Carter novels that are in the public domain as published by Dynamite, at this point it has been around for a couple of years. It's written and specially illustrated in a more adult-oriented way than say, Marvel's mini series from last year - in all honesty there's quite a bit of T&A involved but I don't think its done in a sleazy way other than those variant 'risque' covers.

The series has been quite good during the two published adaptations IMO and the current arc is halfway adapting the third novel (the series' namesake) but releases have been slooooow lately; when this arc is done the series is supposedly moving on to tell original stories, I don't think I'll stick around once that happens.
