it's one thing if your mutant or superhero power includes rapid healing to not be injured issue to issue, but when it doesn't or you're a mere ("mere") mortal like frank castle, nothing shits me off more than unrealistic injury healing times, particularly when the issues are set within an extremely close timeframe.
It's kind of funny reading Ennis' MAX run and coutning all of the injuries he sustains. Ribs get vaporized, fingers broken, lungs crushed, etc. But I guess the six month time skips between arcs takes care of that.
