Mother of GOD! Weavers avengers pages are freaking Supurb, he actualy makes the hulk with armor look badass, i think he does illustrate thor really great but why the F##K does thor have exposed underarms thats just wrong. stupid punisher war zone making that a thing, either scale covered arms or completly exposed arms NO inbetween.

everyone says kubert is like big time Huge artist, but Opena and Weaver are leaving him in the ditch here, there character work is far more detailed, stable and badass than his. (not to say that he is bad, but just lesser in this case)

Deodatos pages are really great also

And a whole bunch of tourists are going to be watching as they destroy an Earth. Poor guys. Guess Strange will have to break out his mindwipe spell again.

If Galactus is there, does that mean that Earth was already stripped of life before they arrived?

Always thought it was BAWS how Galactus just shows up and without warning then starts slowly legoing together the planetbuster on-scene.

Johnathan Hickman and Dustin Weaver doing a book? Why does that sound vaguely familiar? Like I'm missing something, say 2 issues of something I used to read...

I feel like I know what you're talking about. Was it.....an A.R.M.O.R. book? No. That's not right. Well, I'm sure it wasn't important....

Wow, Weaver's art is supreme... damn. Weaver and Opena to figure out a tag-team schedule for drawing the Avengers. Bloody wow.

By Odin’s beard those Avengers #8 pages are gorgeous! Really interested to see how Avengers and New Avengers will tie into Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy.

To me, that was a brilliant science fiction concept that got lost in the jumble of a mediocre film, and but I’m left wondering what might have occurred if someone like, say, Walter Hill and Ridley Scott had tackled it.
Just when I thought I couldn't get more excited for a Hickman book, Alonso drops a freaking EVENT HORIZON reference - and one that shows that he totally gets what's up with that very peculiar film.

    Love.

PS: How are none of you freaking out about Epting yet? Holy wow, some of the stuff on those pages is stunning. Must be said, the coloring is superb.

The Event Horizon reference really hit home with me-- I still own it on VHS.

I was really skeptical about Epting going into New Avengers, I wasn't sure his art would fit the book. It was a good thing Marvel didn't share my skepticism because Epting has be a perfect fit for the book. Smooth, dark, apocalyptic.
