Default EXCLUSIVE: Hopeless Makes Fugitives Out of "Cable & X-Force"

The team's first mission came to a disastrous conclusion in "Cable & X-Force" #4, turning them into suspected terrorists. Writer Dennis Hopeless told CBR about the issue and his future plans.

The new character is a "her" and will change the team dynamic. Issue #6 can't come fast enough.

Liking a lot of this, but a little sad to hear that Hope won't be part of the team. I mean, it makes complete sense both in-story and from the standpoint of Nathan's characterization (wanting to keep her out of things). I wonder what her being a 'driving' force will consist of if she's not running around as a fugitive with them...

Also, Hopeless cements my appreciation for him by acknowledging the criticism over the structure of the first arc.

ETA: And he wants Scott as a semi-regular guest star? If I wasn't sold before...

Teresa Payton is boring. Susan Hatchi was that kind of character done right.

And "explosive" too! It's the only reason I'm still reading. Well, that and Domino. Imagine this scene with Tabby as her wing girl.

    That bandanna is ridiculous!

Homage to classic X-Force with fashion insensibility?

This book could go from my least favorite X-book to my favorite if she joins and the weird structure from the first arc changes.

Boom-Boom doesn't do much for me but I'm still in for Forge, Dr Nemesis and Cable's insane family life.

I was about to say that I feel like the only reader in the world who doesn't give a damn about it. I'd be more interested in this book sans Nemesis, though.

It would be hysterical if this was the only book where an X-writer finally acknowledged that the Summers family actually well, existed as a family, insane or not. I'll be buying multiple copies and evangelizing to all my friends if Hopeless does that.

    Drop Dr. Nemesis.

Bring Boom-Boom, Hepzibah and Warparth in.
