Another gripe I have is how easily Fury is forgiven and all the heat switches to this Sayuri lady. Hawkeye was sent to kill Fury, but because Fury reminds Clint about where the real Scorpio died he automatically drops his guard and trusts Fury.

Theres was a real Scorpio?

Fun cover. Tough villaiNESS. Generous action. Tech props for IP. Intro Howling Commandos. Twist reveal that her name was Abigail Brand. Cliffhanger followup and setup. Voted "average" before typing all these pluses - hmm, maybe should have voted a mark above average.

Seems that it's official that Thor's regained his godhood as he wasn't wearing the harness and fighting with Mjolnir at the end of the issue.

Can someone elaborate on this as I'm not familiar with this limitation.

Oh, it was fun. Like Kirk did to Scotty vs Vol. Wasn't crazy with Fury's cliche disappearing act but it was balanced nicely with his early fun line about "reporting for duty".

In Jonathan Hickman's Ultimates. Reed Richards attacks Asgard and destroyes almost everything, with Thor becoming the living embodiment of Asgard (being able to talk to the ghosts of Asgard) but losing his god-like powers, but now with Humphries in charge he decided that Thor is a God without any continuity explanation and somehow Hel was still up and running, making the decision of prodicting Modi inside that world tree much more questionable.

You know, this Hydra situation would have been a prefect time to reintroduce the Avengers.

Instead we get a whole new team that probably won't ever be referenced again after Humphries leaves.

Actually im thankful that he didnt do that. I dont trust him to be able to write the avengers at all. Actually the only people I trust to be able to write ultimate avengers is edmondson or myself.

I stand by what I said, it was okay. I enjoyed the story part of the issue, but the art just isn't doing it for me. If the series had a better artist then the issue would have been voted higher by me.

If you ask me, instead of going with the Howling Commandos, it would've been better if this had been the Ultimate version of the Secret Warriors.

Nothing offensively bad but nothing that great either.

About the only thing that really stood out or me was the end with Fury and the Howling commandos, that was a pretty great scene.

Yeah, i really don't understand why Nick Fury feels he can't use all the toys he has on SHIELD to just efficiently annihilate Hydra, but hey i really would like the idea of Fury, Blade, Punisher and so on working together again.

I stand by what I said, it was okay. I enjoyed the story part of the issue, but the art just isn't doing it for me. If the series had a better artist then the issue would have been voted higher by me.

I totally agree about the art. I intended to note that I voted 'MEH' at the top and meant to type: "maybe I should have voted a mark above average" and in no way was to have you reconsider your stance. Sorry about the typo.

Sorry if I came off rude with my response.

But yeah the art as I said is hurting the series for me. Some scenes look great while others look lazy and rushed. I mean with how the series began with artist Esad Ribić I loved it. But after he left I felt the series took a hit.
