I'm really looking forward to this. I have a hard time believing AoA Nightcrawler will work with Dark Beast beyond returning to his own world. Beast is another one on his hit list, after all. It'll be interesting if they use the crossover to consolidate the teams in Astonishing -- give the title some new faces.

Truthfully, I'd almost rather see them turn AoA Kurt into a full-fledged villain after the event. He might make a compelling one. Then again, he might add spice to the Astonishing line-up. As long as Marvel is using the original as the poster child for "dead is dead", I'd like to see an AU version remain somewhere.

Kidcrawler is advertised to make the "ultimate sacrifice" in the previews. Hopefully they won't kill both remaining Nightcrawlers in one arc. Darkholme has more story potential, as the kid version would only end up as lame as ever and a gimmick in WatXM.

Trust Pixie Solanas to troll any thread related to Nightcrawler. You can look for it like clockwork.

Wasn't there already an X-Tinction storyline? Are they running out of "X" words?

I wonder if this arc is intended to "clean up" the multiple universe stuff.

An event combining all the fun, niche X-titles and the preview has Wolverine front and center? Fuck that. I'll come back when General Howlett appears.

Hopefully the real Kurt comes back!
He can lead a revamped Astonishing.

Thet was the first thing I thought. At first impression it seems they left out Cecelia and Warbird in this story. Which would be a shame.

Me too. I do wonder if the current cast remains after X-Termination is over.

That is a bit weird though. Dark Beast is now in the AoA reality (and Sugar-Man as well) and it was said nobody is not able to go back to 616, due to the whol sead thing. So, it makes me wonder if writers forgot that little detail...

Let's wait and see (hmmm where have I heard that before?)

I am looking forward to it and I do wonder what will happen to the cast of AoA (lesser about X-Treme cast). I hope some survive, but I'm afraid AoA will be said and done with after this and they will close it for good. There's not much left of it anyway. Of X-Treme, the two diva's will return to 616, that was kind of confirmed. The rest of the cast are diplicates anyway.

I'm sad the AoA series is cancelled, it was really good. Though my favorite unique AoA character who does not have a counterpart in 616 is missing from it (Switchback).
    We have a new King...!

Nothing I've seen thus far has me excited for this. Astonishing and Extreme just aren't that interesting. I am also not interested in any of these characters. The art is very generic, it could literally be anyone who drew this.

I'll read the first and see. It'd have to have one hell of a story to pursued me otherwise....... I'm doubting it though.

this aoa nightcrawler sucks. i liked him better during the original aoa concept, but nothing i have seen from him in 616 warrants this much story. what a disgrace to the nightcrawler franchise and copyright.

Makes me wonder if teleportation or interdimensional travel capabilities might be part of AoA Kurt's role in the crossover. The (horribly named) Brimstone dimension is the one Nightcrawler travels through. Kurt Wagner also talked about being able to teleport to Limbo in the solo series. That might mean that dimensional gateways work a bit differently for him. We can guess AoA NC's motivation for working with Dark Beast -- he wants to go home. What is Dark Beast's motivation for working with Darkholme, though?

However, an explanation of all this would be nice. Maybe the story arc is simply based on the fact that the gateways were closed off, but now are being forced open in some way, thus inviting celestial attention.
