Fun issue. Enjoyed the irreverent Orion, even if the portrayal is quite a bit off from what we've had before.
A bunch of fun stuff, all around.

Well this ins't the first time a New God has slapped Wonder Woman on the butt.
Slapping a woman's ass isn't fine. But with New 52 Orion it goes with his frat boy personality. I have no issue with that. I just think Diana's reaction should have been more that just...Ohh what the...It would have been epic if she had showed him you don't touch any woman's ass. It would have been awesome if she had nipped his douchey behaviour right then and there. It just means Azz can have Orion continue to act like a jerk and get Diana annoyed. 3 strikes and you out? We'll see. Wonder Woman would have stopped it at #2.
I shouldn't have posted the panel alone. Rage everywhere.
I'm pretty sure Azzarello wrote that to make it fun, but stopped before WW broke Orion's arm just to piss off the fans (against Orion or him). He finds that funny, too.
Or maybe they're just falling in a weird love indeed.

Wonder Woman loves you too.
You'd think the expanding cast would hinder the excellent character interplay, but it just keeps getting better.
As you say, she's Wonder Woman; and since when does Wonder Woman immediately resort to physical violence every time someone offends her? It's not really a matter of being "ladylike"; it's more a matter of being a hero. She would prefer not to risk starting a brawl in a public place simply because Orion offended her. If he had threatened Zola, it would be different; we saw how fiercely she reacted when he threatened Lennox a couple of issues ago.Originally Posted by thepneguin

On a different part of the issue...I wonder if Milan is watching. It would be awesome if Wonder Woman were to get an assist from a swarm of fireflies.
Akins art is certainly better on this issue.
I am disappointed that Pinna drew only 3 pages. He is very good.
Anyway, I liked the issue. Lots of funny and insightful conversation.

I don't blame Orion for doing that. She's irresistible.... I wouldn't do it nor have I seen any guys, but the scene does make a good laugh.
Eu amo mulher maravilha.
Ha! I'm sold.
Another weird thing about that scene was Orion's cheerful willingness to let Wonder Woman and War go find the baby by themselves. Shouldn't he worry that Wonder Woman will either fail (after all, he doesn't really know her) or will hide the baby from him? I wonder if he figures he can track Wonder Woman once she has led the way; despite what the gods think about only Olympians being able to cross realms uninvited, I wouldn't be surprised to see Orion boom tubing into the temple of roots next month.
And he will use her DNA on his glove to trace her. Sorry.![]()
