They might as well have just called this comic "Super Cockblockers" because that's essentially what this incarnation of the Justice League of America's primary mission really is.

When did Steve Trevor get possessed by Starro? and meet Despero? Also what comic does Booster Gold disappear in? I'm still surprised they put Stargirl on the JLA team and not in the Earth 2 book. Was the fight between the Justice League and Martian Manhunter that Trevor mentioned shown in another comic?

Catwoman was stone-cold in this issue. "I know who you are." Love how she pretty much hands Trevor his ass (in all fairness he wasn't looking for a fight). So was Martain Munhunter for that matter. "...if Waller or one of these government lackeys even thinks about making a move against me I will erase their mind." I'm excited this title should be good. Can't wait to read the next issue.

Why couldn't Geoff Johns' Justice League run been this good? I swear it was some editorial mandate that f&cked up that early run. This book is so much better!

At the very least the perfect title to this opening storyline!

Jim Lee and the rush schedule he was on during the early days of Nu52 was what undermined his early.

This was some of the stuff that happened during the 5 year timeskip in JLA.

    So

    Superman vs. Martian Manhunter
    Batman vs. Catwoman
    Wonder Woman vs. Katana
    Aquaman vs. Hawkman
    Green Lantern vs. Green Lantern

    What about Flash and Cyborg?

It's my understanding that before Didio decided to reboot, Johns had already pitched his idea for Justice League set in the pre-Flashpoint universe and the first arc would have been The Villain's Journey. That got changed when DC rebooted due to Flashpoint and he threw in the origin story. While I don't think the first arc was that bad, JL has definitely picked up since that arc, no doubt since Johns is finally telling the story he was planning on telling from thte beginning.

Well, that was a whole load of nothing.

I'm just going to go ahead and pretend now that Azz's (and Williams' too, I guess) Diana has been the real thing, and whenever Johns has written her it's been the android.

This was a damn good read. When Geoff said that this would be more like his JSA style of writing he wasn't kidding.
The Green Arrow reveal took me by surprise and the no-nonsense J'onn makes it clear he's not to be trifled with. And how fucking awesome did Hawkman look?

Now, the attack on GA: were those robots created by Ivo (that's his m.o.) or has the Secret Society found a way to recruit the help of interdimensional members of the Crime Syndicate?
