GIANT-SIZE X-POSITION: The "Uncanny" Brian Bendis - Part 1

I've been spoiled by the accelerated release schedule, the fact that there isn't either ANXM or UXM this week makes it a long and difficult wait for another week? When does ANXM 8 come out? The previews are doing what they're meant to, I can't wait. They now do previews of previews, first the advanced unlettered preview. Then the Thursday, 6 days before release 3 or 4 page lettered preview.

Also the 50th anniversary in Sept? I wonder if only Uncanny issues will be counted to arrive at issue 600. 544 of Vol.1 plus 20 Gillen issues, makes the latest Uncanny number 565. I doubt one can get 35 issues out by Sept without counting All New.

I like the interview but bendis response to Emma an Scott...makes me feel like it was a waste to break them apart. I understand the reasoning for them to work together for a common goal but to break them up and give an answer what we got makes it feel unessceray. Something that didn't need to happen.

Now with the business of the UXM team, avengers and X-men... I get the feeling that's probably where they lift the fugitive status and possible both UXM and X-men start working together slowly down the road but not right off

Non-pure mutants? Let's work on that terminology. Anyway, curious to see what Bendis has planned for the Kitty/Illyana relationship. Aaron handled it greatly by having Pryde throw her friendship with Rachel right back in her face.

Nothing new actually but Bendis really knows how to pique reader's curiosity. Can't wait for the second issue and the Emma/Scott conversation!

She's still, on some level, a little girl who lost her childhood. There's a great deal missing from her life, not unlike a child star where you feel clearly they've missed out on something. That's going to play into who she is.

I can understand why Scott and Emma might need a break, given what they did to each other in AvX. But splitting them up for good is a huge waste of one of the most inspired pairings in comics. Morrison was right to end the stale Jean/Scott relationship, and set up something new and less predictable. Now as soon as it is at the hight of its unpredictability it is being split up. I hope that it is temporary. If not, I hope whoever picks up the X-Torch after Bendis is done is able to put them back together. Wasting their unique dynamic because in "[Bendis'] opinion, they weren't the best couple in the world to start with" is a damn shame.

I, for one, agree with bendis. I was onboard with that relationship when it was about manipulation and Emma screwing with the xmen. After that, not so much.
