Default Avatar Press - Crossed Comics - Where do they begin?

    Hello,

I've recently come across Avatar Press' Crossed comics, and I must say, I like them, I like them a lot. However, I've no idea where this series started, or where to begin. I went into my local book shop the other day and saw 'Crossed: Volume 1' for sale, this was a graphic novel so I have assumed this may be a good place to start.
From researching however, I see there are many Crossed comics; Wish You Were Here, Badlands, Family Values, Psychopath, etc, etc.

So I'm looking for a bit of help as to where to begin. I'd prefer buying the graphic novels as I take it these will be the comics, from that particular series, bundled into one lengthy 'book', or am I wrong in that regard?
Any help would be muuuuuch appreciated and I thank anyone who can help in advance! I just don't want to buy a graphic novel and find I'm reading a story that's half way through and I'm sat there wondering "Wtf is going on?" :D

And if you're looking for single issues it's:

Crossed #0-9 [no sub-title], written by Garth Ennis.
    Crossed Family Values #1-7
    Crossed Psychopath #1-7
    Crossed Badlands #1-23 ...ongoing.

Wish You Were Here is the webcomic I believe, I don't read that.

Thank you both so much for that info!

This might sound like a silly question, but I take it Crossed Vol 1 - 3 is the single issues, 0 - 9, in 3 graphic novels?

Or to add, are the single comics all bundled into the graphic novels, or are the single comics different from the graphic novels?

    Vol 1 is 0-9
    Vol 2 is Family Values
    Vol 3 is Psychopath
    Vol 4 is Badlands 1-9
    Vol 5 is Badlands 10-18

There is also Crossed 3D which was fine but not necessary in any way.

I do recommend Wish You Were Here. Its a lot slower and less violent then the other Crossed series, but more for those who like The Walking Dead with the human drama in it.
