Hmm ... you bring forward compelling evidence. They're my favourite artists. But then, if I had my way, JH Williams and Ivan Reis would be drawing every series I'm reading as well and that's not at all likely, either.

Were people complaining about cleavage? I thought I saw mostly people complaining about how David Finch draws "women" in a way that makes the suspicion that he's a pedophile pretty much unavoidable. Where did cleavage come into it?

But Finch isn't the only offender. I'm starting to think only Cliff Chiang and Tony Adkins should draw Wonder Woman.
Oh yeah, like Tony Akins actually draws a good Wonder Woman.

I don't know, Greg Capullo drew a decent Wonder Woman for a Justice League variant he did:

Also, don't forget Terry Dodson! Look at those sparkles.

But as for what you were talking about, yeah David Finch doesn't draw a good Wonder Woman. He also isn't drawing a good Catwoman either from the looks of things, especially that fifth image. I expect that sort of thing from my manga, but not from my superhero comics.

Sometimes I am so confused that I don't know what to make of some of you guys. It sounds to me as if you guys have been looking at pornography or something because I am not buying comics to look at busty and sexually suggestive illustrations of females. I buy comics for an entertaining story of good guys with superpowers vs bad guys. It is because of this very reason that many women and girls have complained about comics, manga and even video games regarding sensual and sexually charged depictions of female characters in the media arts. The new Justice League of America comic looks cool and I have no complaints.
They're not necessarily immature. They're just incredibly, incredibly nitpicky.

I really don't see anything wrong with the way that Finch has drawn Wonder Woman in that preview. I mean, she's practically hidden behind Batman's cape anyway.

I don't really like that Capullo Wonder Woman, though the cover itself is very good. And Dodson doesn't draw for DC anymore, so he doesn't count! :P

And my point (I don't know about others) is not that it looks like pornography. It was just that, when it comes to Wonder Woman, she's not meant to be a stick figure in a costume. She's a warrior, which means she's muscular, or at least lean and athletic, and is meant to be imposing. Not a super-model physique. So many artists forget that about her and it makes her look like any other character, outside of her red and blue costume. It would be like if someone drew Batman with a lanky physique - it wouldn't fit the character's persona at all.

Good point. Let's all focus our attention back to why Catwoman isn't drawn well in these pictures instead of Wondy!

You know, if Catwoman is written well tomorrow, I'm going to almost forgive Finch for drawing her like she had two pyramids of Egypt land on her chest in that last page.

is there something wrong with going to comics to see BOTH, story, badass art and attractive characters you think look awesome, both males in females in that way, we like some of them for how the Look visualy, example boba fett, in the original trilogy, sure he came off like a sinister phantom but honestly he doesnt really do all that much, he owes his popularity to how F@@king badass he looks, same with females Sometimes cus of how badass they look or cus they look beautiful and attractive

its like movies you go for story and spectical, but sometime you might go cus a hot actress that your fond of is in it, Kate beckensale and jessica biel in the pointless remake of Total recall for example

thats what ive aways said about artist frank cho, but all people give him notice for is big boobs, but he actualy draws FANTASTICLY fit, warriorlike and imposing women
example look at the stature and phisical power he gives shanna in this image with his beautiful cross hatching
primarly around the back, sholder and arm areas

The people complaining about Catwoman being too sexualized are mostly the same people who are happy to see Power Girl's boob window back.
