I think Aja's style changed way before he started Hawkeye. Granted, he didn't do much interior work in between Iron Fist and Hawkeye, but even if you go back to the story he did with Stan in Thor 600, which was not long after he left IIF, it was more minimalistic(if that's even the right description) than Iron Fist. The only other full issue I remember him doing was an early Secret Avengers issue that gave the background on Max Fury, again this was very similar to how his work in HE. I'm sure there are a few other things that he's done, but I'm not remembering them now. I know I was put off at first to his new style because it was so simplistic, but I've grown to love it. I agree with a lot of people that Hawkeye is one of the best 3-4 books Marvel is putting out right now and a lot has to do with the art.
Back to the OG question. I guess check out the relaunch of X-men with Coipel who I think is the best in the biz right now. Unfortunately, I don't buy comics solely based on art, so I'll be skipping this since I don't care all that much about the characters.
I'll second All New X-men as well, Immonen might be my 2nd favorite artist right now and he's killing it here. Nice additional of Marquez as the rotating artist as well. Similar style.

Man, I really don't get all of the stick Greg Land receives. He is by no means a favourite of mine but is he really that bad? The only Land stuff I've read is Ultimate FF and Ultimate Power so maybe thats not enough to form a proper opinion but the amount of stick he gets astounds me.
Avengers, Avengers Arena, All-New X-Men, Deadpool, Thor, Hulk, Fearless Defenders, Journey into Mystery, Captain Marvel
It's almost more philosophical for some. People don't like that he (blatently) uses photo-refrence for his human figures, some consider it a kind of 'cheat'. I personally don't mind it, much like I didn't mind it when John Byrne used it for his backgrounds in the '80s or Alex Maeev used it in Daredevil, but I don't find anything all that exciting about his work either.
Omactivate! RIP
Attention! Invading alien scum! I am Bentley, scourge of man, destroyer of hope, and I also have a passing interest in dinosaurs -- Prepare to surrender now!
Yeah I figure thats it. I assume people give him stick more for 'cheating' rather than being bad.

except for the fact that his art is pretty bad anyway? i mean, unless you want characters--particularly women--who are all hyper-sexualised and all look like they're straight out of porn with their poses (and often are), all with the same face (porn face), only ever making the same expression (either ladies laughing alone with salad stock or o-face) regardless of the situation. not to mention the fact that he seems to have something against women having hips (in his art they don't) or muscles, or anything resembling a decent grasp of anatomy (when he hasn't traced) and everyone has SO. MANY. TEETH.
i mean, the tracing and blatant copying other artists work is a big, big issue, but it's not only that.
i was going to link to things to back myself up, but i kind of figured it's not really that hard when all you have to do is google "greg land". i can if you want, though.
Hmmm, I never heard this about Land before this thread, and I assumed he just used photos as guides, which I think a lot of artists do. Even Alex Ross does it; he even demonstrates it himself at the end of Marvels. But a "greg land" search, as suggested, reveals a lot of art that is modeled after photos found online and after other artists' work. I don't know the full story, but now I'm going to have a 'different' time reading Iron Man from now on, wondering where the work came from...
Captain Marvel . The Massive . Fury MAX . Saga . Nowhere Men . B.P.R.D.
I'm including the artist name(s) because the books sometimes rotate artists, so I'm specifying which ones are good. Also these are only the titles that are released so far, there are future ones that most likely will make the cut later on due to the artist's past work

Aha links are not needed. Greg Land has 'issues' for sure. Many of the ladies he draws do look like they are drawn by a horny schoolboy, with the big boobs and porn faces. It's a fault I reconize but its not the worst art I've ever seen.
Like I said, I'm not a Land fan, I just sometimes feel like I'm the only person on the internets who doesn't hate him.
