Question help me find the name of a comic from my youth...

    hello!

i just joined this huge forum because i've got a quite difficult question (not sure if this is the right forum for it, but i couldn't find a better place). the thing is: about ten years ago, as a child, i once read a comic book i really liked. however, i lost it a long time ago and forgot the title. even though i have searched for it for a long time already, i just cannot seem to find it. therefore i hoped that one of you would be able to remember this comic, and tell me its name.

the story is about a boy who's looking for a cure for someone who's ill. his friend is a white winged cat, and there's a themepark for adults, which he cannot enter (since he's a child). there were huge stairs, guarded by two scary clowns with big hammers. also, he had a clock which featured these two clowns. i also remember that the winged cat attacked one of these clowns at a certain time, and scratched him in his face.

that's about all i can remember from this comic book, and i hope someone here knows it.

    kind regards,

    JumperJack

ps. someone from the independents-forum adviced me to ask this question in this forum. hopefully someone here knows the comic i'm talking about.

also, the comic was about a4-sized, had a hardcover if i remember correctly, and was printed in color. that's about all the details i remember.

Just asking due to the paper size reference: Was this a comic you bought in the U.S.?
Anyway, it is cool for you to acquire acrimony of crumbling time on blast this website.

This doesn't ring any bells with me, but the description sounds Japanese to me. Winged cats, child protagonists and amusements parks are right up their alley.

polar bear: i don't know where the comic is from, but i'm from the netherlands, and i have read it in a public library about ten to twelve years ago. so it could be quite older than that...

scott harris: that's possible, however i do remember that it was not in a manga/anime style. it was quite 'westernly' drawn.

Being a large hardcover in color, (also you being form the Netherlands) it almost sounds like a Euro comic. But I can't help ID it.
