Default To Those Who Get Current Titles in Hardcover/Paperback...

Do you have same urge as monthlies where you must have it all? (Vol. 1, 2, 3, etc.) Or do you not mind having "holes" in your volume count(Vol 1, 3)?

.....it kinda feels weird when they're numbered and I don't have them all. But if they don't have numbering it's not as bad.

I kind of agree. It's very obvious that there's a gap when the volumes are numbered. But when they are not, gaps are a lot more evident and without checking which issues were reprinted in each trade, gaps can even be missed, leaving a reader unsure whether his collection is complete or not.

And I have firsthand knowledge of the collector's mentality driving me nuts as well.

If they're numbered, I have the urge to get them all. And once I've bought a few in the series, I feel the urge to keep going, even if I don't particularly like the way the title is being written (which explains why I own every Wolverine: Origins tpb, as well as every tpb of Way's Deadpool, haha). It still bothers me when I look at my shelf that I have the oversized HCs of Busiek's Avengers Assemble 1 and 3-5, but 2 is missing (I have the tpb, but it isn't the same).

I must have them all, and all in the same format.

    Impossible with both.

Spider-Man has had hardcovers, OHCs and now paperbacks only.

Scarlet Spider had a beautiful new hardcover, but is now paperback only.

I don't like when issues are out of order either, really.

I'm going to have to line up SS1, Minimum Carnage, SS2.

I'm glad I waited on Venom. All paperbacks
