Default How do you all feel about Damian as Azrael?

If Damian is forced to give up the Robin identity, how do you feel about him taking up the Azrael identity. It's got a hood. It's got swords that incapacitate but don't kill. Finally it's got ties to both Batman AND the League, bringing together both halves of his heritage.

Then there is no Robin and Robin does sell. That's how I feel anyway

    No! No! No!

    Worst Azrael-related idea ever.

theres always tim drake. then they could get some other character to be red robin (if theres a need be)

personally, i'll always see tim as a robin, not a red robin standalone character.

still, damian as azarael sounds pretty cool

Not while he's still a little kid. But as a grownup I could see it working nicely.

Not really, Damian hasn't been Robin for nearly enough time to give up the mantle. We can argue that the same thing happened with Steph, but after the reboot she never was Robin so it doesn't count anymore.

Just to be clear I'm not arguing he should give up being Robin. It's just a theory floating around that Inc. will have Damian give up or be forced to give up being Robin.

Nahh as I rather see him come up with a new identity than inherit various discarded mantles.

    Default Damian the new Azrael?

I have been thinking about this. Grant normally doesnt show anything unless there is purpose. If I remember correctly Damian throws Robin through a glass case holding the suit of sorrows, the sword of sin and the sword of salvation.

Speaking of which where did he get that sword?

Would you get behind an Azrael book about Damain?

It has potential, though for me, i wouldn't really want him in the role of Azrael. I guess it depends on the way it's handled. Given he's still a kid i would think the proper choice for his role would be that of Robin. Good theory though didn't catch the whole glass case thing. Morrison loves those glass cases huh?

I'd be interested, honestly. I like the idea of Azrael. If it was 2.99 yeah. Maybe, but it'd need a good creative team......
