This column used to be a must read but now I usually feel like I'm wasting my time.

I check in for the preview art.
Black History Month & 29 Days in February
I think that shot of Thor and Hyperion flanking the Quinjet as they fly through downtown might be one of my favorite panels of the year. You can practically hear the guitar whamming.
"Who you got? Star Brand and a White Event? Don't worry. We got this. We're Avengers".
I didn't mean "can't take him seriously" as in "his costume isn't functional." I meant it as "this is the borderline dumbest outfit I've ever seen" or "why did he decide to wear what the dimetap toga machine threw up?" can't take him seriously. I'm all for comic-bookiness. Modern design sensibilities and comic-bookiness aren't even necessarily mutually exclusive in a lot of cases, but I know for a fact that the opinion I just described is not a unique one (couple brothers and friends I've introduced to comics, for example) for a guy like Hawkeye.
I know you love Hawkeye's old costume, because that's how he was when you started with him and it's cool to jump on the "they changed it and now it sucks" bandwagon, but their reasons for changing things up are valid. I am living proof of it. When first getting into comics, I didn't have any interest in Hawkeye in his old outfit, but I LOVED him in Ultimates. I don't mind the old stuff now that I've gotten my feet wet, but back then? Not a chance.
I guess you're entitled to that opinion. I've tried numerous times to get into Hulk comics. I've only really ever liked him as a guest star. I mean, even though there wasn't much depth to Loeb's run, I actually enjoy his issues more than Pak's issues in that era because his book at least had a concrete creative direction, rather than stories that felt like "the random adventures of this character named the Hulk, who by the way has a kid that you've never heard of before and an alter ego who's apparently a loner bad ass scientist."
Eventually I wanna read PAD's run, but I haven't gotten to it. So I'm loving what Waid's doing. And putting Banner front and center in the grand scheme of the Marvel Universe is a note right out of the UU's book ;).
Marriage Era Spidey bashers are shameful opportunists (Like you REALLY didn't enjoy a single Spidey comic in 20 years)
Conversely, BND haters REALLY need to get over their continuity elitism already
LOL. I love that immediately below that quote is an image of Captain America in his new costume that looks almost exactly like the uniform from the recent movie.Axel Alonso: That is definitely not how we do it, Chariset. If Marvel NOW! proved one thing, it’s that we put premium stock in our writers. “Avengers” reflects the vision of Jonathan Hickman, not Marvel Studios. And the same is true down the line.
Yeah, I have zero interest in either Bucky/Natasha or Natasha/Clint, but yeah, if Natasha/Clint suddenly becomes a thing soon, I'll shake my head hard (although no doubt they'll be BUT BENDIS TOTEZ HAD THEM KISS IN AVENGERS ASSEMBLE SO IT'S ESTABLISHED!!!1 or something.)
Am I the only one wondering what the point of this article even was?
While not EXACTLY how the interview went down, this is pretty much how it came across to me.
So again I ask : What was the point of this article?
Alonso: That's for me to know and you to find out.
ARGH!

Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him." Well I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me are people that think Final Crisis is good.
