I'm still on the fence about getting the next issue.

The story's interesting, but I'm having a great deal of difficulty getting past the art. I know it's an uncommon opinion here, but I can't stand Sanchez' art; I find it an unpleasant experience to look at.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.

There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.

I was a huge supporter of Nocenti on Katana because I felt like she could really bring out the essence of a samurai soldier. But I felt that the plot was weak, it hardly has anything that signifies anything important in DCU, I do like that they're establishing her "batcave" and her "metropolis" I just wish that we've gotten more from the issue but I felt like we didn't. Should something interesting come up in the next issue, I'll pick it it up again.

Awful. Nocenti is 0 for 3 now. Time she gets demoted to Avatar Press or something.

God, the comments on this thread!
Um, there are plenty of reasons to dislike is book that have nothing to do with sexism. And Batwoman is one of the least objectified women I've ever read about. Seriously, weak arguments. Ugh. So she's a lesbian, why does that have to be to appeal to males? Why can't it just be part of her character?

Overall, I found this issue to be boring. Its artwork is messy in places and ugly in others, and the dialogue feels unnatural. The character has potential, but this plot just didn't interest me at all, I'm gonna pass on this series.

I agree. For me the art was the main turnoff - I disliked it intensely and nothing else raised the bar enough to offset that.
