Default Does anyone know how long the Tony Stark origin arc will run for?

I thought I heard 9 issues but was this ever confirmed and if so where?

About 9 or 10 issues, which honestly won't be too long of a time due to Marvel and their crazy double shipping. It should be finished and done in 4-5 months time.
    DC/Marvel reader. Mostly Superman,Batman,X-Men,Avengers fan...guess I am a fan of most comics.

No idea, but I really hope they don't get too fancy with it and try to add some new elements purely to set up one new story. That rarely works. It was okay for Green Lantern, since Blackest Night is a huge character defining story anyway. But if this is to set up a new event I'll be a bit disappointed.

And besides, Tony's origin is currently perfect as is

Perhaps more revelations about Howard Stark. Hickman in the interrupted S.H.I.E.L.D. was adding some facets. Howard Stark was already linked to just about anything that was happening at that time in Marvel history. Perhaps there was more than was told about passing the mantle from father to son.

I would actually have 0 problem with this. Tony rediscovering his father's unfinished business would make for a fantastic story since no one has ever really written about Howard's SHIELD days and how they impacted Tony. Unless you kind of count Iron Man 2, but we're just going to ignore that!

I don't know if it'll all be structured as a single story-arc, but Gillen has said that the whole Secret Origins storyline will run 11-12 issues.

Gillen has said that Howard Stark figures in heavily... In fact, I think he said that he won't be touching the "man builds a suit in a cave" part of the origin at all.

If Eaglesham is replacing Land for the whole origin story, I hope it takes 24 issues.
