I'm really not a fan of the art or the premise, but I may pick this up and check out the first arc

It's only a 5-issue mini. I don't know anything about Alpha other than apparently everyone hates him, but I'm a big fan of Fialkov's work on DC's I, Vampire so I'll be picking this up, too.
Be a fan of the creators, not the characters.

And just like that, Spock gives Andy back his powers, albeit reduced. Hmph, what's Peter gotta think about that?
Johnny Storm was dead; who is this resurrected Johnny Storm?

Wow, Alpha looks extra douchey on that variant cover.

"...get ready for the greatest hero who ever existed…EVER!..." Is this one of those 'trolling solicitations'?

It's meant to reflect the character's personality.

Huh... For me that would normally be more than enough reason not to waste my money, but to each their own. I'll personally be avoiding it because I didn't care for the character in ASM and the art looks bad.

haha: "I don't like the idea or the art, but I'm still going to buy it".

Yes, the Alpha arc (and character) in ASM was a drag.
