This looks amazing. Some of the best creators in comics with great original ideas. I can't find any one of those books that doesn't interest me.
Pull List: Action Comics, Batman, Chew, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Saga, Stormwatch, Wonder Woman
Well, reunited in the sense that they're both in the book on completely different stories within it.
I'm terribly excited to see Moore's work here, but between the massive delays, misleading advertising, and transformation of the project from a charity project to the launch title for a new company, I have to say I have lost a lot of regard for the project.
Well "massive" delays seems a bit unfair, the book didn't hit it's projected release date (estimated a year out with 50+contributors organized by a couple of volunteers) mainly because we're still receiving excellent contributions and some are quite weighty, but the digital issues have come out as predicted and because we sensed the book would be late we sent the digital issues to everyone even though that wasn't the original deal.
I don't know what the misleading advertising is... we don't advertise the book. Sometimes when we get press coverage the nuances of a journalist's approach might not match out intentions, but that's not misleading advertising.
It's still a charity project. All the revenue past hard costs that's received by organizers and creators is being donated. Hollywood Reporter said "a portion" probably because they weren't sure, but nothing's changed and we've been completely transparent about all of this.
We announced a year ago that the deal structures we were offered by comics publishers were lousy so we'd be starting a new company called Black Mask to distribute the comics with a better deal than we could get from traditional comics publishers, and if we're going to go through the work of building a new pipeline then we want to use it to get other outsider/transgressive/non-traditional art out there.
Thanks- Pizzolo
Just take my money. All of those books look good!
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.
Show Teddy some love!

If there's still any confusion here about the relationship between Occupy Comics & Black Mask, I updated the Occupy Comics Kickstarter today & clarified the things that have been confusing people: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...l/posts/406867
