I've been considering cutting loose some DC books so I can spread out and get all the Valiant line titles. I'm really excited for Harbinger War. I'm just excited every time I see a Valiant book is getting released on a certain week.

As curious as I am about Harbinger Wars I very much want that Shadoman Masters HC release!!!

Is Bloodshot returning to the military after HW?
Also why does all these teasers start with UN, could they be hinting at UN-ITY?

You are correct inasmuch as the Vine is the replacement for the classic Spider Aliens; I'm thinking it has something do do with naming rights or something silly. Quite frankly, calling them the Vine is a whole lot less ridiculous than them coming in and shouting, "We are the Spider Aliens! Fear us!" because let's face it, to their own selves, they are neither spiders nor aliens. (We don't show up on their world and proclaim "We are the Hairless Apes! Fear us!" because, y'know, we're smarter than the average stock villain.)
Both of those names you mentioned, though, belong in what was Valiant 1.0's far-flung future. The Future Force was the team book set in the 42nd Century alongside Magnus: Robot Fighter (please, Shooter/Dark Horse, work out the rights so VEI can put the whole band back together!), and the Psi-Lords-- Starwatchers originally before lawyers got involved-- were the HARD Corps of that same future (nanite-driven societal roles, much akin to their predecessors some 21 centuries earlier). It's hard to be a Future Force in the present (harder still to be the Atari Force in the past, but that's a kvetch for another day), and they're a bit young to be considered Psi-Lords.
I've been hardcore DC for 25 years and was extremely excited when New 52 was announced. I also picked up Valiant 1.0 since the beginning (I was one of the lucky sots who grabbed Magnus 1 & Solar 1 and just went from there) to give it a shot when it was around the first time-- y'know, back when I had less family and more disposable income. And I can say honestly I'm far more excited by the Valiant new releases week in and week out than I have been by the New 52 titles-- enough so that I've already gone ahead and dropped a metric ton of DC so I could put all of Valiant on my pull list.
It would be a good call for you to do it, Mad Dog, for the sake of the great stories and great art; dropping a couple of $2.99 titles for every $3.99 Valiant title will save you in the short term-- and give you bank enough to pick up new stuff as it hits.
I order through DCBS so if I ordered the entire lineup I would get 50 percent off every month. So I could follow the entire line for super cheap.
My story is the same but sub Marvel for DC, I used to buy 25-30 Marvel books a month now I buy Hawkeye and that's it. Valiant has completely won me over, Marvel just seems like weak sauce now and I can't get excited about anything they are doing. They might as well be called "Meh"vel now.
Even with Hawkeye the book will just sit there for a week or 2 before I get around to reading it where as Valiant books are consumed on release day like a special little sacred ritual.
Mark my words XO and Harbinger will knock it out of the park tomorrow.
