It's not. The tie-ins are (almost) all superfluous to the books' main stories.

    Avengers Arena 9
    Avenging Spiderman 20 & 21
Savage Wolverine 5 - so 5 issues in, we get Shanna, Amadeus Cho, Man Thing, and now Hulk? Wouldnt be reading if Cho wasnt on this book.
    Scarlet Spider 17
    Superior Spiderman 9 & 10
    Winter Soldier 18

Perhaps you aren't giving 'they' enough credit. The AU issues of the ongoing series' don't tie into their ongoing stories, only Age of Ultron. No derailment, at least until the event ends and the shared universe has to reflect the shocking developments at the end.

    NEW AVENGERS #6
X-MEN #2 (depends on whether I liked the first issue)
    THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #8
    INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK #7 & 8
    SCARLET SPIDER #17
    AVENGING SPIDER-MAN #20 & 21
    DAREDEVIL #26
    GAMBIT #12 & 13

HAWKEYE VOL. 2: LITTLE HITS TPB

Double shipping hurts my wallet. I wish the double shipping issues would be priced at $2.99 or lower, or just release a single issue with increased pages.

    32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

AGE OF ULTRON #8 (OF 10)
    BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS (W)
BRANDON PETERSON & CARLOS PACHECO (A/C)
    Cover by BRANDON PETERSON

Wait until you see who is in charge of the new world order and how they got there…! A reality-spanning choice is made this issue that will affect the Marvel Universe for years and years to come.
    32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Can't Marvel and Bendis leave Wolverine out of their horrid events just once?

    UNCANNY AVENGERS #8
    RICK REMENDER (W) • DANIEL ACUÑA (A)
    Cover by JOHN CASSADAY
    Ragnarök Now part 2!
    • Xavier is dead, now begins the age of The Apocalypse Twins! Now begins Ragnarök and it’s all Thor’s fault!
    • S.W.O.R.D. Peak station is attacked by Apocalypse’s Ship! A Celestial’s fate so shocking, so impossible, it will rock the Marvel Universe to its core.
    • This is it, Ragnarök is now and not even the Uncanny Avengers can hold it back!
    32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Wait, wait, wait! I see Wasp, Thor, SW, Havok, Captain America and Sunfire, on the cover. Could it be that Wolverine and Rogue, the only two good characters in this piece of crap of a book are finally free? Be still, my heart!

    AVENGERS #11
    JONATHAN HICKMAN (W) • MIKE DEODATO (A)
    Cover by DUSTIN WEAVER
    “WAKE THE DRAGON”
    • As Shang-Chi battles an ancient enemy, the Avengers hang out in Hong Kong’s swankiest casino.
    • Captain Marvel, Black Widow and Spider-Woman find out it doesn’t pay to gamble in the spy business.
    • Cannonball and Sunspot play craps with a bunch of AIM Agents. AND WIN!
    32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99

    AVENGERS #12
JONATHAN HICKMAN & NICK SPENCER (W) • MIKE DEODATO (A)

50th Anniversary Variant by Daniel ACUÑA
    “CHILDREN OF THE SUN”
    • A day in the life of the Avengers…in the Savage Land.
    • The boys go hunting for dinosaurs and end up catching something else entirely.
    • Hyperion and Captain Universe begin the godlike education of the transformed Savage Land children.
    32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Wasn't this suposed to be the flagship of Marvel and all that crap? Eleven issues in and Hickman is already writing cutesy filler like he was assigned to WATXM?

    A+X #8
NATHAN EDMONDSON & CHRIS HASTINGS (W)
HUMBERTO RAMOS & REILLY BROWN (A)
    Cover by HUMBERTO RAMOS
    • Captain America and Wolverine fight a villain unlike any you’ve ever seen!
    • Deadpool and Hawkeye do not see eye-to-eye!
    32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Oh, for crying out loud! Another fricking Wolverine and Captain America story?!!
Nobody wrote a good teamup between those two in the last twenty years. Give it up already! You're not going to be the one who breaks the streak.
How in the hell do you publish a book about teamups between x-men and avengers and manage to not put an x-man in both stories of the book?

    UNCANNY X-MEN #6
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS (W) • FRAZER IRVING (A/C)
    • The Uncanny X-Men face evil sorcerer DORMAMMU! Don’t miss this new take on the evil sorcerer demon courtesy of Bendis and Irving.
    • Discover the secrets Magik has been hiding since the Phoenix Force left her in AVENGERS VS. X-MEN.
    32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Oh goody, Dormammu again. 6 issues in and Bendis is already using the same vilains.
I, for one, can't wait to see the Hood, again!

    SAVAGE WOLVERINE #5
    FRANK CHO (W) • FRANK CHO (A/C)
    Variant COVER BY DAVE JOHNSON
    • Dinosaurs aren’t the only green giants roaming the Savage Land jungles!
    • As the dust settles, the secrets of the Forbidden Island stand revealed!
    32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
And there goes any interest I had in the book! The Hulk again? We get it, Wolverine's first apearance was in a Hulk book. Everybody knows!
Shoving the Hulk in a Wolverine story, or vice-versa, doesn't make you look like you have a deep knowledge about the character. It makes you look like you have no creativity, because everybody else did it already.
And, in the 437 Wolverine/Hulk stories already printed, there about one (Incredible Hulk #340) that doesn't suck. Enough already!

    WOLVERINE #3
    PAUL CORNELL (W) • ALAN DAVIS (A/C)
    Variant COVER BY ED MCGUINNESS
    • Guest-starring Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.!
    • How will Logan take down a foe with no permanent body to slash and claw?
    • And what does the Watcher have to do with all of this?
    32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
If Nick Fury's going to be in the book, why isn't he in the cover?

I dunno, they have Marcus on the cover so maybe the story involves them saving Nick from HYDRA or something.
