That's a good idea. I don't see any non-advertising reason that they should emphasize her curves.

That's the thing, it doesn't seem emphasized. I think they towed the line rather well all things considered with this concept.

But you will never see a male character given this concept unfortunately.

Where is the emphasis? The fact that she has curves doesn't mean she's flaunting them. You might have more to your sexist argument if she was in a thong and pasties, but she's wearing incredibly conservative undergarments. Additionally, if one were to treat this cover literally, the reader would be engaging in an activity in which MORE clothing is added to her figure.

If only! I'd buy a series of Marvel paper dolls in a heartbeat, I don't see how it's any different than action figures.(Which btw Defenders did that too. @.@)

Fine, I admit that this wasn't the best cover for a sexism debate. It's just too sexualized for my tastes and for many people's. They should probably make a Thor cover as a counterpart.

    Amen!

Anyway, I think the Bruunhilde paper doll cover is just in the same basic theme as the one for #2 that looks like the packaging for a Dani action figure

    Too sexualised? For whom?

For children?...it is riff off of a child's "dress-up" game. Where the doll is being dressed rather than the opposite. If anything, it must be applauded that the subject is a warrior woman and not Vampira

For adults?...Her breasts are not over-sized, her hips are not exaggerated and she is not "breaking her back"...She is tastefully covered in a sports bra and boy-shorts.
I think even in your prudery you can admit we have all seen much, much worse.
