Only read the first couple paragraphs so far.
Just me or does it seem like the writer is teasing the board participants that didn't enjoy this arc?
Next Wednesday: Avengers 14, Dream Thief 2, New Avng 7, Sup Spidey 12, Uncanny Avng 9
Spider-Man from the beginning! Last ish: ASM #15 - Chameleon hires Kraven (first appearance!) to kill Spidey.
"I would say that the story coming up in 2013, as corny as it sounds, as much as it makes me sound like P.T. Barnum, is definitely our most ambitious. It starts in "Batman" #21 and is a 9 to 10-issue story. It features another one of my favorite rogues and essentially, it's going to be our boldest take yet."
Oh god, DotF just ended and he's beginning the hype for the next arc already....
... it would be far easier to consider this a dream. But how can I? For in my hand... I hold the Bat-radia. And I... I am the Batman.
Interesting read. Although I do hope he dial down the hype a bit.
That Andy Kubert art is awesome!
"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot." - Dick Grayson
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." - Damian Wayne
A new comic site/blog needs to rise out of this cross-site scandal - one that is adequately funded and not afraid to dare not write puff pieces while maintaining a high level of consistent quality.
This is just out of hand now. Comparisons to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? Wow. The desperation and insecurity is staggering. With all due respect, Snyder is no Moffat. He's not even in the same playground as whoever runs Elementary.
It's fine if the reviewers actually enjoyed the issue. No one begrudges them of that, but to do so in such a way that is clearly imbalanced not based on any contrarian opinion but based on their own history of past reviews is an attack on their own credibility and deserves their integrity to be called out into question.

"If I only had one chance to write" (2 times only in this one) / "Our most ambitious yet" / "our boldest take yet"
Snyder is a nice guy, but he repeats himself way too many freaking times. He said this practically in every single interview he has done since Court of Owls.

At this point I just ignore Snyder's interviews. His stories come off a lot better without the hype.
That being said, Kubert's art looks badass and I'm quite looking forward to the two parter and the Riddler arc. Riddler needs more panel time.
Wow, that preview art for Batman #18 looks terrible.... definitely dropping this book. May come back for issue #19 but I doubt it after that ending of Death of the Family.
