My best mate is a DC fan all the way, but he bought the Runaways solely for Adrian Alphona's art because he thought it was the greatest art he'd ever seen put on page. I told him he was right, and then tried to steal the book. It was the Runaways 1st edition oversize hardcover with the black light glowing dust jacket that was only available with the first print run of the volume 1 oversize hardcover. It was also priced at $24.99 but had 18 issues in it plus bonus content. That was back in the day when $29.99 could get you an oversize hardcover with all the works, great binding, and bonus content up the ass, and the Grant Morrison New X-Men oversize hardcover omnibus was priced at $99.99 instead of the current $125.00.

In all fairness, the New X-men Omi was a lot bigger book.

I'm glad UXF will be my first exposure to AA's art. I hope the character have different costumes and hairstyles in every single panel.
The heck, why would it need panels? If Demon Bear is involved, let it be just endless stream of sketches and disemboweled consciousnesses.

What do you mean? I was giving examples of Marvel increasing their prices over the years. The $99.99 New X-Men Omnibus has the same page number and extra features as the current released New X-Men Omnibus priced at $125. The only difference is the dust jacket graphics. Marvel is ridiculously price gouging it's comics.
