Nothing at all about The Kiss
Are they trying to distance themselves from accusations that "you're resorting to cheap lesbian tactics to sell this as some kind of girly book instead of an all-female team"?
I have a feeling that the kiss was what they were talking about with this:
Honestly, that's all that really needs to be said about it. I know I brought up my issues with the kiss in the review thread along with many other people, but at the end of the day it was such a minor part of the book that I don't think it really warrants extended focus. And yes definitely in this issue you see her taking the reins a couple times and giving into her impulses.
Isn't that Annabelle?Sliney: Now I kind of want Penny from Inspector Gadget to join the team!
Also, I still say the kiss wasn't fanservice. It was a funny twist on a cliche.
I'm one who does feel the kiss was total fan service.
I just felt like my they were insulting my intelligence by putting that in there.
I thought this book would be an awesome way to get my wife into some monthly reading - I knew it was too good to be true.
Even if it were to be nothing but fanservice, it was one panel in an entire book that was pretty good. Is that honestly what you're going to let stand in the way of an enjoyable book?
As for getting your wife into monthly reading, there's always the upcoming X-Men.

Great article. Makes me want issue #2 right now! I also think it's great that the team involved in making this comic are so forthcoming with information about it. Definitely the best way to build up rep for the book.
(Can we please not let this thread turn into another discussion about the Kiss again. Every other FD thread already has that topic covered!)
If Ms. Le Fay is the child of those two individuals, then I think that would be an interesting step forward in proving the existence of an Evil Gene. This could have far reaching consequences, including state sanctioned chemical neutering!
Good to see them all so excited about this title, it was a great first issue, painfully prudish people be damned.
Now let's see some issue #4 covers!
I'm sure Morgan took her child on mother/daughter bonding trips where they tormented the local villagers, Doom on the other hand didn't even bother to pay child support.
