Wow, that's a really bad idea.
That really sounds like a horrible idea. There are tons of other Jedi better suited for a lead film role.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
Very skeptical of this, I am.

They could always do a Drunken Master-ish/Beggar So movie with Yoda I guess. Yoda pretty much is Beggar So.
Yoda struck me as the kind of character who's past is probably best left mysterious, because it's hard for the reality of what they come up with to match the story running in your head.
I'm not sure how well the prequels served him, or the image that fans of the OT had of him. Because even though it was inevitable, it felt weird to see him get punked by the Emperor's clone army.
But then, it could kick ass, too (assuming it's true). Yoda clearly has a mischievious streak in TESB, so might be fun to see him as a young bar brawler kind of Jedi.
My first choice for a solo film would be Han Solo, though.

There shouldn't be any Star Wars spin-offs. No one wants another Ewoks: Battle for Endor.
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."
PHOENIX INVICTUS!
No! Yodas past being a mystery is what I like about the man, I didn't even like him in 1-3 just 5&6

They could do a Yoda movie without it being some kind of origin story that sucks the mystery from the character. Althought the prequels already fucked the character up.
Sinces he's so much a Beggar So character, they could just play off the Ten Tigers of Canton story in some way.
Rob Zombie got ripped for giving Michael Myers a backstory, just imagine the consternation if Yoda gets the same treatment.
Robert Rodriguez said he would do a Han Solo movie.
Surprising very is this.
