Stoked for the new title and tomorrow's Ultimate X!
Wood has incredible patience. In every single interview he's done he has had to spend about half the interview explaining that his core cast is set and isn't expanding in the near the near future. I'm really excited for this book love that he mentioned that the X-Verse can do even better by including more POC and Transgendered characters.
What a great interview! We need more people like him in the industry (and less people like Orson Scott Card).
Next time I'm gonna ask him about this story I like from 30 years ago. It'll probably apply to his story!
Great interview. No over-exaggerated claims of never before seen greatness. Nor did he antagonize fans. The guy spoke as honestly and openly as he could while being respectful to the fans and other writers and so on. Marvel please pay attention. It doesn't always have to be about hype. No wonder we all love Brian Wood.
Wood does give great interviews. I'm bummed Jubilee still has her vampire powers, but hopefully Wood will find a great way to twist it. His Gen X love is great. I wonder if he wanted to keep Domino, but she got shoved away to Cable and X-Force. I still wish Emma was on this team.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.
he is a nice person
Ororo Munroe: I have no powers, my body cannot fly. But I no longer mind, for in my heart and soul -- where it truly matters -- I soar higher than the stars!
As much as I want that B-team he mentioned, this book doesn't need the fan-service. I'd rather the core-team get as big a push as possible.
Always appreciate it when the writer gives thoughtful replies to even the dumbest question. Hope he keeps Boreclops out of the book.
I think I really like Brian Wood. He seems really down to earth.
I've never had a signaure before. This is pretty rad.
I want to hug this man.

1. Why did no one ask the hard hitting question: is he a grubhub or seamless guy?
2. Mr. Wood, if I were to deliver you tacos from El Tenampa would it curry favor?
Awesome interview, Brian Wood is a class act and wonderful writer. I'm glad he has Psylocke and Rachel Grey under his pen.
Very much looking forward to this. I've enjoyed the perspective that Wood brings to superheroics. Also, teasing out further what he alludes to, these specific characters remind me of some of my favorite eras of the X-Men: the 1990s punk X-Men team (Storm, Rogue, Kitty, and Rachel Summers) Storm, Psylocke, Rogue, and Jubilee remind me of the Australian days; and Psylocke, Rachel, and Kitty are tied strongly to the Excalibur/Captain Britain mythos.
He's writing two X-Men teams from different universes and two versions of Kitty, Rogue, Storm, and Psylocke. I wonder if he thinks of the alternate universe characters as the same people in two different universes or if, for example, Marian Carlyle is a different person from Anna-Marie Raven.
I'm not sure why anyone would think Psylocke and Rogue should butt heads; they've been friends/team mates for years, whereas Rogue's only been an Avenger for 5 minutes. And not even officially, at that.
