    Neither of those sentences, to me, imply you actually gave the show a chance. You went in expecting/wanting to hate it; not many things can change around such views. Have you seen the episodes I listed?

    That's not, not giving something a chance, that thinking the idea of a Star Trek set on a space station sounds bad. I mean, the core concept is they're treking through space.

    I don't know which episodes I've seen.

    Being set in a station is what set the series apart from TNG & Voyager. TNG is about space exploration , Voyager is about surviving the Delta quandrant and finding a way back while DS9 is about the station and all the political intrigue involved as well as the first line of defence against the dominion from the other side of the wormhole.
