Just purchased my first NICE Superman Action Figure: Thoughts?

Yes I even have the shit suit New 52 Superman.

I just don't see the appeal of the Mattel Supermen for the most part. They have awkward proportions (probably due to the extreme amount of articulation) and odd face sculpts. The third one from the left has blocky features and his irises are so pale he almost looks possessed, while the second from the left has a goofy, awkward smile (looks a bit like Travolta) and looks cross-eyed. I can think of plenty of older figures that looked so much better, most of them from Kenner. They didn't have much articulation but they didn't look so awkward either.

In general, the DC Direct Supers are better sculpted and colored, such as the one I got recently in the Superman vs. Doomsday two pack. Still, I'm terrified that I'm going to break it every time I put it in a different pose. What's it take to get a good looking AND durable Superman figure these days?

My latest purchase's, guys.

Finally found Total Film's Man of Steel poster edition at Barnes and Noble along with the Empire Man of Steel cover. Didn't have the Total Film of Superman/Lois on the cover yet, but I expect it to come in maybe next month or so.

Also snagged Superman New 52 Unlimited, "MAD" collector's Superman edition on sale for $15.00 and a nice sized Superman Monster Truck. All in all, great day to shop.
