right right. Well, of the ones I'm reading, I suppose I can give a rundown on how much/why I'd recommend each:
- Elephantmen - good story w/ lots and lots of heart about anthropomorphic animals living in human society. Touches a lot on various inequalities (race, sex, class, etc, by really representing the minorities/under-rep'd as animals). Probably my favorite Image book.
- Manhattan Projects - very smart and somewhat funny if you have a certain humor type. It's an alternative take on the Manhattan Project. Like, really alternative. But really fun to read. At least for me - a fan of history. Amongst my favorite titles out.
- Chew - funny, well-written w/ great characters. Really funny and well-paced w/ lots of recurring humor. Another favorite of mine.
- Saga - well-written. Lots of ppl love it. I find almost every character thoroughly annoying, which I suppose is a sign of good writing... Lots of bizarre sci-fi fantasy stuff going on. Worth the read due to the story alone. Not amongst my favorites just b/c I hate so many characters.
- Fatale - pretty much see Saga, except replace "bizarre sci-fi fantasy stuff" w/ "pulp crime noir horror stuff". Well-written and annoying characters still apply.
- Prophet - really really good and complex. Makes you (or at least me) really feel for the character.
- Great Pacific and BlackAcre - both are kind of in the same boat for me. Fairly new, not much to say, but are solid so far. Neither have been spectacular, but are interesting nonetheless.
