I'm also glad he said "Fire Carrier" would explain where K'Kruhk was hanging out in the Original Trilogy. Hopefully it won't make him look pathetic, because the fact that a farm boy defeated the Sith when a Jedi Knight didn't is ridiculous.

At least the Marvel rumors have caused Dark Horse to step up their game with the Star Wars franchise. I thought it was getting a little stale, but their recent stuff has been a noticeable improvement.

Could you give us some examples?

#1 of the current ongoing was good, but I'm liking the recent miniseries. I thought Blood Ties: Boba Fett is Dead, and Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison were good with impressive artwork. Dawn of the Jedi is good too.

I think Dark Horse's strong history with LucasFilm, and Lucas' involvement behind the scenes (which is much more than just "being aware of it" from what I've heard over the years), will spare Dark Horse from getting completely screwed here.

Dark Horse has a deal with Marvel, too (they solicit and distribute particular merch for them - and other major companies - now and then), so there's a tether there that should allow a partnership of some sorts.

Disney should remember that Marvel did almost nothing with the Crossgen properties except screw them up even further with a self-aborted soft reboot that accomplished absolutely nothing. This isn't the same Marvel that helped develop wonderful properties like Transformers, GI Joe, Conan, Star Wars, Micronauts and Rom.

i've just been wondering about this, since i hear marvel will take over the SW comic series come next year, does this mean that the Brian Wood ongoing will cease once the takeover is complete?

I think that is a 12, 13 issue series.

We had enough sudden endings with invasion ending at cliffhanger and Knight Eraant not being properly wrapped up.

1) In no way is Marvel taking over Star Wars by the end of the year. If they ever take it over, it'll probably be in 2015.
2) Don't worry about it ending. Just enjoy it while it lasts.
