Kate isn't a judgemental dick as much as she is a smartass and know it all.
The whole point of Clint and Kate is that Clint is ALSO a smartass and pairing him with somebody who is his match in that area and also several dozen rungs above him on the social scale is interesting.
Carol dressed as Samurai, Spider-Woman as a schoolgirl, Black Widow reminding strands, like a power ranger Cannonball, Shang is normal and Sunspot like a ninja. lol very cool but I bet it is just to illustrate that they go to the east.
