It's Weaver who did that cover. I hadn't realized the cultural error initially myself, but I can see why people would get upset. It's not too late for them to get a new cover though.

So for the majority of her appearances she comes off as an asshole with a secret heart of gold? Same thing for the most part then except you've taken the time to see why the character is the way she is.

Heart of Gold? No. Normal person? Probably.

We could argue about the semantics of why she's an asshole all night.

It's only the same 3 pages we'd argue for. She describes herself as "Popular without selling my soul" so that really works against the idea of her being a 'hater', but I guess you could say that she's re-evaluating herself and . . .

God, we could go on all night, couldn't we.

You're right. I still hate Kate with a passion and how she's somehow a role model to a lot of people. Sure, I might be seeing something taht isn't there, but a whole book that is just Kate standing around and laughing at Clint just doesn't scream likable to me.

I think she has a crush on him and that's how she deals with it. It's a lot more than just "she's rude". You just haven't taken the time to get to know the character like you have taken the time to obsess over Hazmat.

I don't think she looks bad. She does look upset, but she should be. And again, your referencing something you haven't read yet in it's complete context unless you're illegally downloading or something. I don't think she's being portrayed as a villain at all. She's being portrayed as angry and possibly bitchy. Because she is. She always has been. She is a rude asshole character so I'm confused about your adoration with her in the first place since are the characters you loath so much.

For one thing, Hazmat is more a hot head. She can lose, she has been beaten, and she has been made the full of.
Kate? She rarely gets made the fool of, and EVERY character gushes to how awesome she is.
That's the difference between Hazmat and Kate.

Kate isn't a judgemental dick as much as she is a smartass and know it all.

The whole point of Clint and Kate is that Clint is ALSO a smartass and pairing him with somebody who is his match in that area and also several dozen rungs above him on the social scale is interesting.

That's okay. Kelly Sue made Spider-Woman likable.

Carol dressed as Samurai, Spider-Woman as a schoolgirl, Black Widow reminding strands, like a power ranger Cannonball, Shang is normal and Sunspot like a ninja. lol very cool but I bet it is just to illustrate that they go to the east.

An issue of Avengers focused on Shang-Chi? That's pretty awesome. And a blue incursion over in NA... hmm...

So far there have been red incursions. This is a blue incursion. In astronomy, blue shifted objects are accelerating towards us, red shifted objects are accelerating away. Maybe there is a connection.

Really. Because it seems that pretty much one character has said that, one time. Which would be the aforementioned Mr Clint Barton, to whom Kate plays the straight man.
