It doesn't matter if it wasn't retconned he was still used as the priest/confessor until his death. And so what if Kurt is a Catholic with a Demon father (he's a mutant not a demon aaaargh!) as if you cant have a catholic kid with a satanist parent or vice-versa, lol. It wouldn't be the first time a parent and child clashed with ideals. Yeesh. Its not that uncommon.

And why would it conflict as Claremont was the writer that made Kurt Catholic and he still wanted to make Nightmare his father later.

If you actually read it you would read the part where he was going to stick by her. He was friggin bleeding to death and Rogue still wanted to use him as a transportation device. YEESH.

For pointing out that your favourite character isn't as infallible as you'd like to believe? He went back to rescue Rogue (over multiple jaunts), he could've done the same for Charlotte Jones, but he didn't, forcing Cecilia to stay behind. He didn't come back to find her until he'd recovered from his fear of teleporting into a wall. I suppose the Hippocratic Oath just holds more weight than postulant vows.

She was forced to take rave to defend both herself and Nightcrawler when he came to her privately, rather than teleporting to the hospital. She didn't have a choice. Do or die. I like Nightcrawler (I'm a Kitty fan, how could I not?), but it was a lapse in judgement that led Cecilia down a dark path.
