Since the JGS students don't do that, is Aaron making a comment about the increased the segregation of American schools?

Suburban schools aren't doing that great right now either. Schools no matter what the geography are dropping in quality. I have had a teacher friend tell me that they didn't even have supplies and she had to bring her own in. Overcrowding was a big issue too. Many kids were being left out. And Connecticut is ranking very low as an example. Doesnt matter if its near the city or not. Though the city will ALWAYS get the raw end it seems.

I found it more in line with Ryan Gosling's heroin-addicted teacher movie, without the gloriously artistic addiction.

All true, but suburban schools are still leaps ahead of urban ones.

Teaching at WatXM would be a walk in the park compared to teaching in any real school, much less an inner city school.

This could explain in part why I've so little desire to read WatXM.

The WatXM kids are so screwed.

By simply existing they're better. I've seen more than a few neighborhood schools abandoned completely for lack of funding. Kids get squashed in whatever schools happen to be left.

Interesting comparison. What is the parallel to teacher's union?

This is what happens when you leave the soft, flabby wing of the Queen, America.

I think that was crack, you'd need the other if teaching at JGSHL, though.
