All stories are imaginary, so you get to decide what's important and what isn't. Continuity is fluid.

Quoted for truth....
An evil Wonder Woman could be devastating to the JL. In an arc that concluded in JLA 143, 1977 Diana was mind controlled and really took it too Superman. One of my favorite covers.

When Circe stole Wonder Woman's powers and used them to slaughter sex traffickers in Who is Wonder Woman, I thought that was disturbingly cool. A big part of me rooted for Circe in that scene, since its hard for me to think of sex traffickers as anything but subhuman scum who deserve nothing but death.
So a rogue superwoman who slaughters rapists and sex traffickers could be a fascinating character, either on her own or as a counterpart to Diana.

Mark, I remember that issue vividly. The cover WAS nice!
However, she wasn't much of a threat. Under mind control she punched Superman in the face and all he had to say about it was something to the effect of "..her Amazon Strength.. amazing!"
Had he wanted to, he could've easily slain her. Remember, pre-crisis WW was hardly as powerful as post-crisis. At all!
