Aside from that we had half a dozen Hulks running about (not to be confused with the Event where ALL the heroes become Hulks), so like, whats so special about the Hulk again?

So the aftermath of Pak's run (which at the start I admit I thoroughly enjoyed) left a whole lotta Hulks running about and THE Hulk in a position where he never needs to even get angry to access Uber-Worldbreaker levels of power.

In such a climate how can any writer create consistent, credible challenges for the Hulk AND in addition how can any of the Hulk's Rogue's Gallery EVER be used again to generate any kind of drama when we know Hulk can just flip the switch up to infinity and beyond WITHOUT getting angry.

Well done Greg, you have ruined the Hulk, great work.

This is why you never let a fanboy write his favourite character.

So its no surprise to hear people think the Hulk has nothing more to do, Pak painted the character into a corner.
Excellently put. It really was all downhill from Planet Hulk, for me.

Here's the thing though, this run is just starting. I think Waid is doing all this to show that it's at least a competent Shield operation and then he'll throw a money-wrench into it.

Well, I suppose Mark Waid can't do any worse a job than Jason Aaron did. Say what you will about Pak, at least things actually HAPPENED during his run on the Hulk series. Jason Aaron's entire run pretty much amounts to, "BIG CHANGES ARE HAPPENING...... but then they immediately get undone and I write essentially the same exact goddamn story for a few issues pretending I'm building up to something epic but in reality I am just killing time until the stupid conclusion that makes this entire volume seem downright pointless."

Sadly true, I have found the Hulk mythos poorly utilized lately. With Hulk
being used as nothing more than to promote tedious hero vs hero battles
just prove he's far stronger than everyone which has made me distance
myself away from his character in general recently.
