Similarly, i am not reading the new avengers title. I just can figure out how mr richards can be lost in a different universe in FF and still appearon earth in another book.

Not to mention wolverine, he is everywhere. Or spiderman, who undergoes all these chamges but still find the time tripping to mars to watch captain universe pat the badguys on their butts?

So, is continuity gone? Sorry if this is a newbie post, but any comment would be helpful! Thanks!
    1) The first couple issues of All New X-Men took place just prior to the current Wolverine and the X-Men. You can see this because teen!Jean has arrived in WatX. In WatX, in the issue with Jean's arrival, Storm went through an emotional change and decided to cut her hair. Obviously, Uncanny X-Men is after that.

    2) New Avengers seems to take place the earliest of most of the NOW! titles. He will probably go to space after the first arc.

    3) Since those arcs started before Spider-Man changed, they didn't want to spoil it so they had it take place before.

I'm totally waiting for someone to retcon that after some magical explosion or something, different bits of Wolverine regenerated into new Wolverines which have each been running around doing the different things.

Yeah, crossover won't disappear, but I do wish titles continue to become more self-contained without being handcuffed to the Marvel universe.
The absolute obsession of some fans with continuity can really get ridiculous. I think it limits the creativity and flexibility of creative teams. I wish Marvel would just go with a very loose continuity and let more comics focus on being quality, stand-alone titles.

Avengers takes place before Superior Spider-Man.

Not at all, the timeline is simply a bit confusing. Concurrent books are taking place during different time-periods. For example, in Uncanny Avengers, Cyclops is still in jail, yet in All New X-Men he's already been out for quite some time and has had time to liberate a bunch of mutants and set up his own headquarters.

No, continuity is not gone. Just because books are released in the same month doesn't mean they're happening at or close to the same time. It's really not confusing at all. You really don't need to be worrying about goings-on in other books until they are mentioned.

    Continuity is flexible.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.
