Default Punisher MAX: hard to follow?

I've read Born, and the first 5 TPB's of Garth Ennis' run over the past two days, and have found myself enjoying a lot of it... but being very confused by most of it. I don't know if it's the way the dialogue is written, or the inter-woven plot lines... but it seems around the second or third issue of each arc, I'm lost. Once the story lines tie up at the end, I can piece together most of what I've read, but I find there's a serious lack of flow to the books. I'll have to re-read them again, but damn.

Yes but very well written. Most of Ennis Max run could be translated into action movies.

I would not know what's complicated about it as nothing ever felt like that.

No, I'm not challenged. I've been reading comics for almost 20 years and have read a little bit of everything. Like I said, I'll read 'em again, because I really dug what I read... but I found myself lost during some of the interweaving plots.

Mmmm, never happened to me...........well, maybe with Mother Russia, with all that history of the hijacked plane, that part was a bit confusing.

To me one of the great things(Of which there are very many!)great things about Ennis's MAX run. Is that you could have picked up anywhere after the first issue and still get everything that was going on. The true sign of an amazing run by an amazing writer on an amazing character.

I kind of felt that every individual arc stood perfectly well on its own as well as being part of the larger narrative. Obviously, the second time Rawlins, that Russian general, Cavella, Barracuda etc all showed up it would be a lot more enjoyable if you knew the past history but all you needed to know was they were someone who had tangled with Frank before and escaped alive, and that's what you got.

Alot of slang thrown around in that arc as well so it would have been especially difficult for you bionder.
