It has subtle references to classics like Poe's "Raven" and "The Telltale Heart" and Melville's "Moby Dick" (without ever shouting "Once and Future King!!"). Small jokes like Alfred's smile. And most importantly it has a dog stealing cookies. This is one of the best issues of anything in the entire New 52.

Again I stand by my stance that DC isn't going to kill off a character that is in two of their top ten sellers.
    A thousand times this.

I didn't care that most of it was a dream, it was still a fun read for all the reasons listed above.

    My favorite part though?

The end. I loved seeing Bruce and Damian fight crime together and then at the end just cool off on top of a building together as the sun rose. It was both funny and beautiful at the same time. The same goes for the beginning as well, the scene with Bruce, Damian, Alfred and Titus in the cave was perfect.

And I too do not believe for a second that Damian is dieing any more so than I thought that the Joker had permanently disfigured all of the Batfamily in Death of the Family.

Well, it wasn't that bad. However it did feel more like filler than aftermath in context - except for Alfred's dream which was best. I agree that it felt non-progressive with too many pages to subjective and surreal context. The art was okay but if the non-story parts looked more... wow-factor then the 85% reverie would've been more memorable - like Alpha Flight #13 comes to mind.

This issue was solicited by DC as something completely different from what it was actually about. Still, it was a good opportunity to get inside Batman and Robin's heads. Feels a lot like a "farewell" issue... wonder why...
