Actually, I would say the The Rot started as Lemire's idea of a threat to Animal Man then Snyder started to develope the plot to connect both AM and ST.
It would make sense considering both author's writing styles, Lemire wanted to make the enemy more personal while Snyder wanted to tell a long, damn long, story.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
Don't forget it was written by British ppl mostly. They're the gods of comics who define the meaning of life in their work!
As for the solicitations, I'm glad Animal Man is finally over the Rotworld arc and the past 2 solicitations seem to be what I was hoping Animal Man would be more about - fun, personal type stories that (hopefully) don't last a year. I may actually pick this one up (along w/ #19).
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.
Grant Morrison
is anyone else disappointed that swamp thing's going back to his classic appearance....i thought the king of the forest appearance was pretty cool? another thing will swamp thing have anything to do with the green now or will it just be short stand alone stories where he does something random like fight the scarecrow or superman
again shouldn't he be able to destroy the scarecrow unless he got some magic artifact to boost him?
