Mocking the victim, typical abusive behavior.

She didn't convince them. They say Cyclops with Magneto and they found out that their lives end up in torture and disaster. And Teen Hank asked for a telepathic link, not help. He doesn't know that more skilled telepaths, such as Karma and the Cuckoos, are around.

She's the one who told them their lives end up in torture and disaster. She used her knowledge of the future to convince them to stay. When Beast told them it was time to go back, they looked surprised when she said they needed to stay. And Teen Hank's a smart cookie. If he hadn't trusted her, he would have found another way or asked the JGS X-Men if they had other telepaths at the school.

Teen Scott is softer than Teen Jean. Scott didn't really become an icy bastard until after the Apocalypse thing.

She had insider info. They acknowledged that. And Warren thinks she's full of shit. Cyclops just wants to get laid.

The speculation here is very speculative. Nothing to worry Jean over.

Fantastic. Jean will use her sexuality to get ahead and keep the boys motivated with the lure of sexual favors. Should get her CBR brownie points.

Warren will come around. He's been panting after her since issue 1.

Sorry, but Emma has the "I'll do anyone to get ahead", market cornered.

Don't knock Emma's drive and determination.
More women should be as intelligent and realistic as Emma is, give in to the fact that sex sells, and base their lives and career tracks on that.[/sarcasm]
Sorry Brevoort, Alonso and Lowe, but Jean Grey is a classic character. She'll outlive you regardless. :)

From the Master himself. Excerpts from Chris Claremont's interview with Wizard, October 1991.

“Storm has serious doubts about her capacity to lead. Jean is very much a natural in that regard. Iceman is an unknown quality. Colossus doesn’t really drift in that direction,” he points out. “Archangel’s a possibility, but – if you’ll excuse my inadvertent pun – he’s a little too flighty, too psychotic."

“It’s not that Wolverine is a follower or not; he works with people. Scott and Storm are, if you view this as a military company, the captains; Wolverine is Sgt. Rock. He is not a conceptual strategist. He’s the kind of person who can look at a fire fight and know how to win it, but he can’t take the first two steps back and look at the fire fight in relation to the entire battle. He’s just too focused on the moment. In that context, he is not a ferociously abstract person, whereas Scott and Storm are far more abstract and Jean is the most abstract of all."

Summary: Chris Claremont says Jean is very much a natural leader.

Let's see how well she does in the Danger Room simulation in ANXM 9.
