    Default *nods* Bruce Wayne, Illuminatus

So, Bruce Wayne sees his parents killed in front of him and decides to destroy crime. He goes on his extensive training trip and gains the skills he would normally have decided to use to become Batman. But as the superpowered types begin popping up, instead of putting on a bat costume Bruce instead puts all his resources into inventing countermeasures for potential supervillains and controlling the world from behind the scenes to make crime impossible, much as he did as Batman, but with less punching people in the face at night and more business moguling and backroom maneuvering.

Is he at all successful? Does losing the superhero contacts, access to alien tech, and experience as a costumed crimefighter he enjoyed as Batman hurt his ability to come up with the kind of anti-meta plans he's known for?

    So the thing is..

more business moguling and backroom maneuvering.
He does a lot of that already. It's how things like some of Luthor's anti JLA plans have failed, he once bought the Daily Planet to secure it from interferance, what have you. So yeah, only doing the one part of stuff he overall does should reduce his effectiveness a bunch.
